Club racing in the UK is a thriving scene, and the livery of a race car is as much a part of its identity as its setup and driver. When the owner of this Ford Fiesta racecar came to Wrap Nova wanting a full custom print livery, we were all in.
Design Process
The brief was for a bold, aggressive livery that would read clearly at speed and in photographs. We worked closely with the owner through the design phase — exploring concepts, colour combinations, and graphic layouts before settling on a final design.
Racing liveries present unique design challenges. The panels of a race car — bonnet, roof, doors, bumpers — all have different proportions and viewing angles. The design has to flow coherently across all of them, accounting for panel joins, glass lines, and aerodynamic additions.
Print Production
With the design finalised, we moved to digital print production. High-resolution motorsport-grade vinyl was used throughout — designed to withstand the rigours of competitive use, including heat from the engine, minor track debris, and repeated washing.
Installation
Fitting a custom print livery is a methodical process. Each panel was aligned carefully against the digital template, ensuring graphic elements matched across joins. Special attention was paid to the bonnet and roof — the two largest panels and the most visible from trackside and helicopter shots.
The Finished Fiesta
The car left our studio looking every bit a proper racing machine. A custom livery doesn't just look good — it creates an identity for the car and the driver. This Fiesta is now one of the most distinctive entries in its class.
