Motorcycles present some of the most technically demanding surfaces in the wrapping world. The compound curves, narrow panels, and exposed mechanical components of a bike require a very different approach to a car — and that's exactly why so few shops do it well. At Wrap Nova, we approach motorcycle wrapping with the same precision as any of our four-wheeled projects. This KTM Duke is proof of that.
Why Wrap a Motorcycle?
The reasons are broadly similar to wrapping a car — personalisation, protection, and the ability to change the look completely without any permanent modification to the bike. For KTM owners in particular, custom liveries are part of the culture. The Duke's sharp, angular bodywork is genuinely excellent to design for.
Design
The brief was for a bold, distinctive design that would reference the Duke's aggressive character without simply copying the factory race livery. We explored several concepts with the owner before settling on a design that felt unique and appropriate to the bike.
Motorcycle design requires particular attention to three-dimensional thinking — panels that look flat in a CAD template are often heavily curved in reality, and a design that looks balanced on screen can distort significantly when applied to compound curved surfaces. Our designers account for this throughout the process.
Print and Production
The finalised design was printed onto premium motorcycle-grade vinyl — flexible enough to conform to the Duke's curved fairings while maintaining vibrant colour throughout.
Installation
Each fairing section was carefully worked by hand — heat applied to conform the film to the compound curves, edges carefully wrapped and tucked to ensure no lifting over time. The tank and tail section required particular patience, being the two most visible components on any bike.
The Result
The finished KTM Duke is a standout machine. The custom print livery gives it an identity that's entirely its own — bold, purposeful, and built to be noticed. Contact Wrap Nova to discuss a custom wrap for your own motorcycle or vehicle.
